Diet
Too much sugar is bad for children's health as it can lead to the build-up of harmful fat on the inside that you can't see. This fat can cause weight gain and serious diseases like type 2 diabetes . It can also lead to tooth decay and every 10 minutes, a child in England has a tooth removed in hospital.
Children in England are eating an extra 2,800 sugar cubes a year, which is more than double the recommended guidelines. That's 8 cubes too many each day!
Half of the sugar in our children's diets comes from sugary drinks, sweets, biscuits, cakes, puddings, sugary breakfast cereals and higher-sugar yoghurts and puddings.
Fruit and vegetables are a great source of vitamins, minerals and fibre, and are an important part of a healthy, balanced diet. Eating plenty of fruit and veg helps keep us healthy, and may reduce the risk of disease
The key to a healthy diet is to eat the right amount of calories for how active you are so you balance the energy you consume with the energy you use.
You should also eat a wide range of foods to make sure you're getting a balanced diet and your body is receiving all the nutrients it needs.

Exercising can be predominantly broken down into two main categories: anaerobic exercise (high intensity/short duration/less oxygen) and aerobic exercise (low to moderate intensity/longer duration/more oxygen).
Children and youth aged 5–17 should accumulate at least 60 minutes of moderate- to vigorous-intensity physical activity daily.
