Stereotypes sell

The target audience for this would be black males even though he is breaking the stereotype of black rappers as he is white. The cover also follows the stereotypes of men as he is looking aggressive and trying to look big and strong. By Eminem having tattoos it gives him the stereotype of a chav and makes him seem like he's from a certain class.

The target audience for this cover would be young girls as the colour pallet includes pink and yellow which is a stereotype for girls. Also another stereotype for girls is to look pretty or attractive to boys.

The target audience for this cover is young males as it is a rap magazine cover. It includes stereotypes of rap as it is a black male who is looking aggressive and has tattoos.

Mock DIRT 2018

7.
One reason a film company would release a video game is so the company can make more money. Because gaming is now such a big thing by releasing a video game people who enjoy lego might see it and enjoy it. They might then go see the film. Another reason they would release a video game is for entertainment. Kids or younger people will enjoy the variety of characters and storyline. This also gives information about the film ,characters, narrative, setting and genre. This may persuade them to watch the film.

8.
The Lego Movie video game uses one of the gratifications entertainment. The game can be entertaining as it includes a fun storyline, bright colours and a wide range range of characters. The game can be entertaining as it includes characters from different films and lego sets which will bring interest from a wider range of people.

Another use and gratification is personal identity. The Lego movie video game helps us consider who we are as we can relate to some of the characters or the storyline. The target audience for the game is young kids as they might want to grow up being superheros. This means they might want to play as heroes like Emmet. It can also teach them social values like the difference between good and bad. As well as wanting to be a hero they also want to be seen as good people and strong people. One more use and gratification is relationships. One way relationships relate to the lego movie game is when people play the game with other people they can enjoy and play the game together. Another way relationships relate is when people play the game and speak in school or on social media about it.

The 4th use and gratification is information. The game can give us information on the storyline of the film, who the characters are and what they are like. It can also inform us on the colour pallet and the sort of locations in the film. Also the intertextuality of lego in the lego movie tells us that lego will be in the film which will make kids want to see the film or play the game.

9.
The posters follow action poster genre codes as they include a title, the characters, the actor's names, the credits and a date of release somewhere on the poster. The posters appeal to a family audience as they include bright colours and lego which kids seeing the poster will kids will be interested and want to go see the film or play the game. The poster appeals to a family audience as they include intertextuality of different lego superhero and and characters that might make people see and feel interested.  The posters include stereotypes of hers and villains which shows the storyline will be easy to understand and relate too. Stereotypes of a villain are to have a dark colour pallet, angry face and angry pointed eyebrows. This is shown in the poster of Lord Business. The stereotypes of a everyday hero is to look like the average person which makes the audience able to relate and aspire to be like them.
